Trailer and synopsis
In this tragi-drama from Seyfi Teoman, what should be an idyllic Turkish summer for young Ali and his family turns mysterious after Ali’s father Mustafa, a cold and authoritarian patriarch, ends up in the hospital. Ali endures bullying from a classmate and Ali’s older brother Veysel’s dreams of going to Istanbul to study are shattered. Meanwhile, Ali and Veysel’s Mother, Guler, is convinced that her husband has been having an affair; which their uncle, Mustafa’s brother, Hasan is tasked with investigating. Hasan takes a more central role in deciding the family’s fortunes when it becomes clear that Mustafa will not recover.
